Can users also be merchants?

Thank you so much for this distribution and modules and service generally. Its very much appreciated.

I am trying to inquire if the Users who register on a Drupal commerce website can not only remain as customers but also post and sell products.

Is capable of sustaining this?

The simple example is that, as an administrator, not only can you add products, but you can also purchase products. All you'd have to do is define permissions allowing users to add/edit/delete their "own" products.

I'm not sure how you'd separate the order processing for each "seller", however.
