Applying Taxes in the Back End

How can you apply tax rules when doing manual transactions in the admin back end of your Drupal Commerce website?

Taxes are only applied as apart of the sell price calculation process. I'd imagine you could update the taxes by forcing the product's prices to calculate. Maybe by changing the Order status?

This appears to still be an issue. Using Drupal 7.31 and Commerce Kickstart 7.x-2.17, while on the 'Add an Order' page, when a taxable product is put into the line item list and the status is set to 'Shopping Cart: Shopping Cart' the taxes are not applied, nor does the 'Apply Pricing Rules' button show. If the action button 'Simulate Checkout Completion' is pressed, the taxes are still not applied.

However, if this same item is put into the cart from a user who's logged in, the taxes get applied. It is really unclear how to apply taxes to a manual order. Can anyone shed some light on how to do this please? It's impossible for site admins to manually add orders without this functionality which is resulting in a lot of frustration on their part.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
