Any advice welcome. I have tried this with 4 fresh installs so it's not something I'm doing.

When I install and use Commerce Migrate Ubercart (after installin Migrate as per the instructions), Migrate breaks.

When I save this page /admin/content/migrate/ubercart_migration_options I get WSOD - this error:
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function migrate_static_registration() in /sites/all/modules/commerce_migrate_ubercart/commerce_migrate_ubercart.module on line 115"

After getting this error if I go to the Migrate page admin/content/migrate I start to get this error:

"Fatal error: Call to a member function getName() on a non-object in /sites/all/modules/migrate/migrate.module on line 113"

A few months ago people provided a solution to a similar problem but this solution does not work anymore: https://www.drupal.org/node/2187251/revisions/view/7391363/7391369 I did install the Migrate modules before touching Commerce Migrate Ubercart, plus there is no option (as suggested in the solution) to "register statically defined migrations" at any point. The Register button just takes you back to admin/content/migrate and not to a registration page.

At the moment Commerce Migrate Ubercart is unusable.
