Hallo,

When you edit or create a product in kickstart you get the option the choose from a taxonomy list.
Is added by a module or is there an other way to add this?

I just found out that this you have to add this to your content type.

So you can find this under: Admin > Structure > Content Type > Product Displays > Manage Fields

Then add a new field use "Term reference" as field type and Select list as widget.

If you click on save you are asked to choose the correct taxonomy vocabulary.

After this the option to choose a category is added when you edit or add a product variation.
