How to translate product titles ?

1. Add additional languages (/admin/config/regional/language/add). I added German and French, with English being the preset default.
2. Set "Commerce Product" as translatable at (/admin/config/regional/entity_translation)
3. Edit the product type (/admin/commerce/products/types/product/edit) and set "Multilingual support" to "Enabled via Entity translation".

And... the only thing I want to translate is PRODUCT TITLE. Can somebody point me in the right direction ?

I could simply hide this field but Product Reference is using it...

Have the same problem,

Drupal commerce is a great module in one language, but I think a lot of people are getting frustrated by Multilanguage Failure. And give it up. Everything is working fine, but the fine-tuning, in views, taxonomy, e.o. is always a problem. There are a lot of questions for multilingual Drupal commerce, and no answers. I would like to see a Drupal commerce site that is fully multilingual.

If it’s possible to build a fully multilingual Drupal commerce site, I think it’s a good idea to do a Commerce Module Tuesday video. For the moment I don’t think it’s possible.

Taxonomy translation terms in search, view filters not working

Title problem with feeds, maybe the answers is this

Creating a multilingual site with D7 is very hard, and Commerce makes it even more complex.
People have been building multilingual Commerce sites since Commerce was released, but it requires a lot of skill.
Back in june I spent more than a week fixing multilingual bugs (now a part of i18n 1.9 and Commerce 1.8).
Other people are working on making Search API and Inline Entity Form work with Entity Translation (which is what prevents Kickstart from being used in multilingual sites).

Anyway, you need to use entity translation + Title for both products and product displays (and taxonomy terms, for attributes).
Make sure that the Title module is enabled for your product types (when you go to your product type's "manage fields" screen, you will have a "replace" link in the Title row, if the replacement wasn't done yet. So if you see the "replace" link, click it. If the title is already replaced, you will just see the regular Edit / Delete field links).

Taxonomy terms on the add to cart form won't show up translated until you apply this Title patch: https://drupal.org/node/2013985

Bojan Zivanovic's comment is brilliant! Just one more point. You need to activate each product type to be translatable at "Edit" in "Product type" page.

Hi,
One of the most frustrating thing is setting the language correctly.

I'm new to create a multilingual installation. I found out an Italian translation of drupal-7.23.it.po I succeeded to set in the page
../admin/config/regional/translate/import for both options Interface and Field but I didn't try to import it for Drupal Commerce option because in no place is stated that the Commerce Modules translation where in the file I downloaded from localize.drupal.org

It's a mistery. Do you know if such translated strings are in this drupal-7.23.it.po?

Thank you
Angelo
