Customer can add a (customized) product to his cart. How can he retur from the cart to the customized product, to edit it?

I like to create an online shop, where the customer can buy/customize a product.
He must be able to upload a photo and write a text to a product.
That's possible with line items and it works so far.
But how can i return from the shopping-cart to the product, so that the user can edit the content/customized product again?
