Here's a step-by-step for replacing the admin menu:

Then install the Rubik admin theme:

I haven't used Rubik, but I assume it will work with Kickstart.

Keep in mind that not using Shiny for the admin theme will lead to a degraded experience because Shiny contains a lot of custom styling for various commerce contribs, which Rubik and others lack.

How do one configures the admin menu for shop managers so they can manage the shop, but cannot mess it up?

(I realise the poster of the answer may not be the creator of the video.....)

Why o why do so many of these video tutorials go through the 'finding the module in Drupal and downloading it' stage?

Anyone that did not already know that bit should not be going anywhere near the backend of Drupal

(what about the really important part before that....... how to make the morning coffee, turning the computer on, Googling the module name because Drupal search 'relevancy' shows loads of others before it ;) )

This is supposed to be light-hearted. I haven't made a tutorial video so why I am complaining? :) I just needed to get this off my chest.

Is there a plan to allow modification of the kickstart menu or at the very least have set to show for certain role? It's a great feature that I'd love to keep(no offense admin-menu, you're just as awesome).
