Remove Shipping When Order Contains Certain Item

Hello,

We have a site that is setup with 6 different shipping rates. We charge shipping depending on how much the order total is. Basically it looks like this:

Flat Rate $0-$49
Flat Rate $100-$199.99
Flat Rate $200-$399.99
Flat Rate $50-$74.99
Flat Rate $75-$99.99
Flat Rate Over $400.00

We have a couple of items that are subscriptions and we do not charge a shipping and handling fee for those items because they are included in the price of the product. I've spent the last few days trying to figure out how to create a Free Shipping service that will override the other shipping services if either of the two subscription products are line items.

I've tried a lot of different things so I figured I would submit this question to see if anybody else has run into this and found a solution.

Hopefully I gave enough detail. I can give more if need

Thanks,
Larry

You should be able to do it by editing your existing shipping rules and creating a new one.

For the new one you need to create a rule with the condition "Order contains products" and enter the relevant SKUs.
To remove your standard shipping create the same condition but negate it and you should be good to go.

I'm assuming from your description that the entire order ships free if it contains at least one of the subscription items?

Thank you!! Negating the existing shipping rules was what I needed to do. I appreciate your quick response and help.
