How to update a Commerce File to all previous purchases

I sell digital products with Commerce File. I have updated the file on one of the products, how do I make sure that that update replicates to every license for that product that was purchased in the passed?

In the Commerce File 7.1x documentation they mention "Grant file licenses to past orders after updating a product's files" here: https://drupal.org/node/1899328
Is this still the only way to get it done or is there now an updated/easier method?

Thank you

While 7.x-2.x does this automatically, 7.x-1.x requires the "Sync" operation to be run manually, it's available as a tab on the Order listing (or the Licenses one, if not there).

Oh thanks I see the Sync to current product check box in the Order. But that means I need to know which orders contains that product ;) and manually going into each product...sucks that I'm not using 7.x-2.x !!!
