How to divide the Commerce Kickstart into sectors, adding managers for each sector.

Hi!

I'm testing the Commerce Kickstart and I confess that I am really enjoying it.

I would like to divide the shop that I'm creating in sectors such as: watches, shoes, bags, etc. (I already have this functionality).

For each of these sectors, I would like to have a responsible person who will receive all questions about their products and even be commissioned according to the sales.

Users can buy in any sector, but each product will have a responsible person.

There are how to do this? How?

Any help or comments will be appreciated.

Tks.

perhaps access based on taxonomy? You could give each sector a taxonomy name such as shoes watches etc (you are probably using that already) and then create roles and access based on that taxonomy

This seems like a good idea, since the taxonomy module is already present.

But I need to link a type of product to one or more specific profiles so that all messages, or copy thereof, to be redirected to they.

In fact, I'm planning to create a website with characteristics similar to eBay, except that the sellers will be persons of the site and that each seller will be responsible for a product category rather than a specific product.

Any idea?

You could create a product type per sector, and give edit rights only to those managers.

Therefor you need content_access and roles, to handle the sections, and its edit rights.
