Creating a order for an existing customer

I'm coming from using Ubercart and one of the features is when creating an order you are able to search for an existing customer by name or email address, select the user and the order will be assigned to that user and bring up there address details.

Is this possible in Commerce, as it's a much needed feature to be able to take telephone orders.

When you add a new order as an admin there is a tab at the bottom for User Information, in there you can set the owner of the order you are creating. The tricky part here is that it requires a username so you would have to come up with some sort of interface for admins to search by email/address to find the username so it can then be applied to the order.

Yes I'd already seen that you could assign a username at the bottom I just don't think it's very good as even with that you still have to fill in all the customer details.

When creating an order there needs to be a step before where you can either create an order for a new customer or search for an existing customer with the later giving you access to their saved addresses.
