Create New Product Type Problem

What is happening when I try to create a new product type, put in a new name and it shows as Product instead of the new name. Only some names function this way???

Are you at admin/structure/types/add and when you create a new type it's called 'Product'? Can you make a number of product types this way and they are all named 'Product'? What machine name do they get?

Can you post a screen shot?
