Add product directly to cart block not to the form

Hi all,
Seeking for weeks now how to make this happen. I have an existing drupal site, so kickstart is not an option. What I want to happen is that after add to cart the shopping cart block is updated, I do not want to see the form page instead.

this is not the typical behavior of Drupal Commerce. When adding a product it does not redirect you to the cart form. so you have an issue with redirects somewhere. impossible for me to say but i assure this is not a Drupal Commerce issue. You only arrive at cart form when you specifically choose to do so by clicking the link CHECKOUT
