I think I have a partial answer for you. I believe the "Free Shipping" advertisement is a Block called Shipping Discount. You can hide or disable this bock by going up to the Admin Menu and look at Site Settings - > Visual & Layout -> Block.

I do not know css, but I can see that circular graphic is a css div (?) and it's located at line 102 in the file, themes/commerce_kickstart_theme/css/commerce_kickstart_style.css?mcm8yr.
