How much memory does your DC site use up?

I have a DC site up on rackspace 1gb ram. Its constantly running out of memory and going to to swap.
I have to restart apache 1-3 times a day. php.ini is at 128M, I haven't installed anything to optimize performance (APC or Memcache and the like) just normal Drupal cache settings. I have about 100 products. The site is not getting much traffic now, except for some old static pages that are currently redirecting to another e-commerce solution.

I'm basically wondering if the memory usage is normal and I have to move up to 2gb or depending on what is "normal" memory usage look further and trouble shoot.

There are tons and tons of variables that can go into a site's performance and memory usage. The easiest way to optimize is often not as successful as the more intricate optimizations. However, I recommend you start with some easy wins: http://drupal.org/node/326504 and then move on to more difficult tasks as you master the easier ones: http://drupal.org/project/cacherouter
