See above for modules installed; I do not see the shipping fields in the checkout when I buy a product. I cannot see any setting that would cause this, please can anyone advise me?
When you enable the Shipping module, it creates a customer profile that is displayed by default on the first page of the checkout process, where you enter your shipping addres.
Make sure you can see the Shipping information under the Checkout page here : "admin/commerce/config/checkout".
It also creates a checkout pane called Shipping where the shipping services will be displayed by default.
If you didn't create any shipping services (flat rate services), you should see an empty shipping page during checkout : "checkout/1/shipping".
