Is it possible to filter a Commerce Product based view by taxonomy?

Greetings,

I am using Commerce Kickstart2 and would like to filter a Commerce Product based view by taxonomy term.

I don't see where taxonomy is an option in any of the filters available for a Commerce Product view.

Is it possible to filter by taxonomy in a Commerce Product view?

I was able to determine how to accomplish this.

By adding a term reference field to the product variation, the field then showed up as a available filter in views.
