Will I break anything if I enable "Change own username" permission for authenticated users in Drupal Commerce?

I can't think of any reason but was wondering whether anyone knew a reason why I should not let users change their usernames due to the way it may affect orders they have previously placed etc.

No :)

Orders and other entities reference users by uid, and that one never changes.
