FTP transfer of distribution is failing...

I thought I would take a look at the Commerce_Kickstart distribution since I have a friend who is in need of this type of package. My interest was peaked with some of your promo videos so I downloaded and unpacked the distribution from the Drupal Project site.

I have been trying now, for almost 24 hours to get the distribution uploaded to a test domain on my friends host server as well as to my own as a check on the problems I'm having.

For the most part, the files transfer without problem EXCEPT that I wind up with a lot of RETRY statuses, that eventually become FAILED. The files are created at the destination but as 0-byte files, which I'm sure is not what is intended.

This seems to be happening ONLY on the files in the ../profiles/commerce_kickstart/libraries/yopto-php/ directory and almost exclusively on the .php files. There are some text, .yml and .inc files that also fail.

I have tried using both CORE FTP and Simple FTP with the same/equivalent errors. I am trying on my own host server and getting the same results; the only difference on my server, it's not freezing or slowing down when it runs into this problem.

Any thoughts? It's possible I may have some setting wrong or missed something in the instructions. Any advice would be appreciated before I pull out the rest of my hair.

Thanks.

OK. I have found a solution for this myself. I have simply put the archive up on the server and extracted it there, moving the files to the necessary root folder. Just a little bit of grief, but the test is now running.
