Migrating from Ubercart 6x to existing 7x codebase

I'm sure other people want to do this too, but I can't seem to find any detailed documentation on it.

I have an Ubercart 6x project and a large 7x Drupal website. I would like to put the two together.

My current plan is to:

1. Install the no-core version of kickstart 2 onto my D7x website.

2. Use the Commerce Migrate Ubercart module to migrate my D6x Ubercart database into the D7x website.

Does that sound like the most sensible way to approach this?

Any advice/experience welcome. Thanks.

Ok, I got consultation from a developer who has worked with Commerce before.

He said to do this instead:

1) install a fresh Kickstarter 2 profile.
3) migrate my Ubercart store into it and get it working.
4) migrate my D7x website into the Commerce website.

He thinks that would be the most logical solution. I have no idea how to do (3) but I'm posting here in case anyone else i in a similar position.

Hi

I successfully (almost) did this, by
1) Create new D7 site (in my case not kickstart)
2) Migrate content using Migrate d2d
3) Migrate Ubercart using Commerce Migrate Ubercart

Some caveats, the link between the content type with the product reference field and the products themselves got broken and all had to be recreated which was a pain, but it may have been particular to my case.
