Is there easier method to change the order of orders from the newest to the oldest than wading through code?
I am using Commerce Kickstart 2.

Changing order of Orders without code:
Go to
admin/structure/views/view/commerce_backoffice_orders/edit
At the bottom right is 'Sort Criteria'.
'Add' whichever field you want to sort by - probably 'Commerce Order: Created date' - and make sure you select descending. However, unless you've changed the way order numbers are created then ' Commerce Order: Order ID' will probably give you the same ordering.
Which version of Commerce Kickstart am I running?
admin/reports/status and then look at the 'Install Profile'.
