I am looking to be able to create an image field where you can enter text in the field to where the file is currently loaded on the server, rather than being forced to upload a new one. Can I alter the image field for this, is there an additional module to enable a setting like this, or should I be looking for a module for a new field type all together?

I still need to be able to display these images exactly as a traditional image field would treat it. I need to be able to use it for the images in a commerce store to use in colorbox, along with the image delta display type for the product list, and so on.

I basically want this, but instead of uploading the photos, just having a text field to write in the location of the image we want.
