I'm building a website using Commerce Kickstart. In my theme, that is a subtheme of Omega, I want to make a change to node.tpl.php. So, as it should, I copied it to my templates folder in my theme, made the modifications and cleared the cache.

When my modifications weren't visible, I used devel_themer to find out if the template was being loaded and saw, that still the original node.tpl.php in the Omega theme was being used.

If I create a specific template file for my product type for example, than that one is used, but the generic node.tpl.php isn't. Does anybody know why this happens?
