Missing vital info from orders

Sorry for noob question, but no matter what I try I cant get this to work. If a customer places an order on our site the invoice just shows the item type not the specific item title/description/name. Im hoping there is a quick fix around this that doesnt involve entering the whole product catalog again.
Any help much appreciated.

Hi Seb24 -

I believe you can enable/disable info/fields by going to Admin > Store > Configuration > Order Settings > Manage Display (tab)

Drag fields above the "Hidden" delimiter. See screenshot below.

Thanks for the reply, really appreciate it. Have double checked this screen but it doesnt fix the issue. Perhaps I need to change the lineitem field that needs changing somehow??

I've noticed that if I goto add content->product I have the option for item title but not sku (this is how Ive been adding products)
Where if I goto store->products->add product then the sku is shown.
If I goto content then all products are listed with product type 'product'
If I goto store->products then only product types listed.
Does this mean going to content->product was not the way to add products and I need to start again?

Just to review (and you may have already done this correctly) here's how to add products:

Add products by navigating to Store > Products > + Add Product

After choosing a product type, fill in a title, SKU, price, and other product data fields you've defined.

Once you've added one or more products, you'll need to make one or more display products for them. This can be done by navigating to Admin > Content > Add Content > [ Select your display product type ]. Be sure to select one of the products you created earlier from the Product Reference box (it may be a drop down, auto complete field, or select box depending on your setup. You may be able to set multiple products for one product display depending on your setup/needs.

By the way, there's some nice modules that make adding display products easier, like Product Display Manager

To get back to your original question, when you say information isn't showing up on the Invoice, do you mean the e-mailed invoice to the customer, to the store administrator, or the order review in the Store administration area?
